In preparation to the CSD-16 Review session, five Regional Implementation Meetings (RIMs) were organized by the Regional Commissions in collaboration with the CSD Secretariat. Moreover, national multi-stakeholder consultations have also taken place, as well as specific sectoral and regional consultations.
The five RIMs, now at their 3rd edition since their establishment as a preparatory component of the new CSD implementation cycle, attracted an increased interest from major group organisations, and provided new spaces for engagement, through more participatory and interactive formats .
Major groups used the RIMs as opportunities to organize capacity building activities such as workshops and side events. A record of the activities occurred in two of the five RIMs (due to capacity and minimal funding availability) can be accessed below:
