On the Second Leg of Africa Visit, Annan Confers with Madagascar's President, 16 March 2006

     On the 16th of March, the Secretary General, Kofi Annan, on his second-leg of an official visit to Africa,  met with President, Marc Ravalomanana. He will also meet with the President of the Senate, and the President of the National Assembly and Prime Minister Jacques Sylla. Mr. Annan and his wife on this visit emphasized the importance of empowering women through education and economic opportunities as key to development.
