 Jomo Kwame Sundaram, ASG of Economic Development and Rob Vos, Director, DPAD/DESA will launch the World Economic and Social Survey 2008 on 1 July 2008 at 1.15 p.m. in the Press Briefing Room, S-226. The focus of this year's survey is on "Overcoming Economic Insecurity". Additional launches will be held on the same date in Addis Ababa, Bangkok, Geneva, Mexico City and Moscow. Sha Zukang, USG of DESA, will launch the report in Beijing on the 4 July (Rob Vos, 3-4838).
