Decision-Making: Coordinating Bodies   

A wide range of questions relating to women and maternity are dealt with by the Ministries of Health and Social Security. Within the latter Ministry, there is a department dealing with family problems.

The Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women was signed in 1989 and ratified in 1993. The equality of rights of men and women is genuinely established by law in Armenia. It has been still further strengthened by the ratification of international agreements.
