Samajhdari, Radio Series - Equal Access, Nepal

Samajhdari ('Mutual Understanding') is a radio series developed by Equal Access in Nepal to empower women and to promote men's participation in ending violence against women and girls. Reaching more than a million listeners every week, Samajhdari allows for both women and men to simultaneously be the listeners and speakers, the changed and the 'change makers'. In 2010, Samajhdari won the Special Award at the One World Media Awards.

Equal Access is a 2006 grantee of the UN Trust Fund to End Violence against Women. Managed by UN Women on behalf of the UN system, the UN Trust Fund works to stop all of the diverse forms of gender-based violence that undercut women's rights around the world.
