Víctor E. Abramovich

Víctor E. Abramovich Víctor E. Abramovich is the Executive Secretary of the Mercosur Institute of Public Policy on Human Rights. He was Vice President of the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR), where he was a Special Rapporteur on women’s rights and rights of indigenous peoples. He was also Executive Director of the Center for Legal and Social Studies (CELS).

Mr. Abramovich is a professor of the School of Law of the University of Buenos Aires, and Director of the Master’s Programme on Human Rights and Public Policies of the National University of Lanus, in Argentina. He has written several articles on human rights, particularly on economic, social and cultural rights. He holds an LL.M. from the School of Law of Washington (American University).
