Juan Ramón Lucas

Juan Ramon LucasJuan Ramón Lucas is a Spanish journalist working in all forms of media, including print, radio and television. Since the beginning of his career in 1978, Mr. Ramón Lucas has been a strong advocate for the elimination of violence against women and girls.

Mr. Ramón Lucas has spent more than 30 years working for television channels. From 1997 to 2011, he hosted the most popular evening news program on Telecinco. He also hosted several shows on Antena 3, Canal 9 and Telemadrid, and has worked with La Sexta and Televisión Española. In 2004, he received a Spanish Academy Award for best TV host in the Entertainment category.

Between September 2007 and July 2012, Mr. Ramón Lucas presented the morning program “En días como hoy” on the popular radio station Radio Nacional de España. In 2011, he received the Premio Antena de Oro in the radio category from the Federation of Radio and Television Organizations. That same year, Mr. Ramón Lucas was also awarded the Medal of Merit of the Civil Guard by the Ministry of Interior.
