Dragan Bozanic

Dragan Bozanic is an advisor for project development and implementation in the Provincial Secretariat for Economy, Employment and Gender Equality of the Government of Vojvodina, Serbia. In the last four years, he has coordinated, together with his colleagues, the implementation of the Strategy for Protection Against Domestic Violence and Other Forms of Gender-Based Violence in Vojvodina. The focus of his work is capacity building of line institutions to deliver integrated and efficient responses to violence against women, as well as raising awareness on the unacceptability of violence.

Mr. Bozanic also works on gender mainstreaming and gender responsive budgeting. He has initiated pioneering work in this field within the provincial government, to build the capacity of the provincial administration to effectively incorporate the gender perspective in its regular work and enhance government accountability in this field. He has also been involved with government gender equality bodies, women’s NGOs, and international organizations.

In addition, Mr. Bozanic’s work focuses on strengthening local communities to deal with women’s rights and gender equality issues.
