Chulasingh Vasantasigngh

Chulasingh VasantasignghChulasingh Vasantasingh is the Attorney General of Thailand. He received a Bachelor of Law degree with honors from Chulalongkorn University, a Barrister at Law from the Thai Bar Association, a Master of Comparative Law from the University of Illinois, USA, and three honorary Doctorate Degrees in Law from distinguished universities in Thailand.

Previously, Mr. Vasantasingh served as Director-General in many departments of the Office of Attorney General, including the International Affairs Department.  During his tenure, Mr. Vasantasingh initiated rules and guidelines in relation to international criminal law, such as the mutual legal assistance in criminal matters and extradition.  Today these rules and guidelines are international standards. 

Mr. Vasantasingh has extensive experience in prosecution and trail of major criminal cases, as well as in government contracts. For over 10 years, he worked for the Department of Legal Counsel, where he provided advice to government and state enterprises for dealing with contracts and concessions.

In addition to his responsibilities as a public prosecutor, Mr. Vasantasingh also serves in the Board of Directors of public and private companies in the energy, aerospace and banking sectors.
