Projects
CTITF aims to catalyze and mobilize counter-terrorism efforts of various UN system entities to assist Member States in implementing the United Nations Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy. The Global Strategy, adopted by the General Assembly on 8 September 2006, serves as a common platform, bringing the efforts of the United Nations system entities that work on counter-terrorism related issues into a common, coherent and more focused framework. The Task Force has been supporting Member States in implementing the Strategy through different projects, collectively undertaken by its entities.
Raising Awareness
CTITF aims to raise awareness and build in-depth knowledge and understanding of the UN Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy.
Nuclear Attacks
CTITF facilitates exchange of knowledge and experience in response to, and mitigation of a nuclear/radiological terrorist attack.
