The situation in Macedonia
Members of the Security Council strongly
condemned recent violence by extremists in the border area of the Former
Yugoslav
Republic of Macedonia seeking to
undermine stability and security in the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia.
They
support the statement of the UN
Secretary General in this regard.
Members of the Council welcomes the
initial steps taken by KFOR to control the border between Kosovo and the Former
Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia and urges
UNMIK and KFOR to consider further steps that might be helpful in this regard.
Members of the Council also welcomed the
recent signing of an Agreement between the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia and
the Former Yugoslav Republic of
Macedonia on the delimitation on the border between the two states.
