Originally established as an in-house print shop and distribution service, the Publishing Section has evolved into the focal point for publishing services at the United Nations. Today we provide a wide-range of services while playing an integral part in the daily production of documentation in the six official languages of the Organization. We work 24 hours a day, from Monday through Friday to ensure that the UN’s publishing needs are met in a cost-efficient and timely manner. We operate state-of-the-art equipment and have made many advances in the use of eco-friendly materials and practices. In recent years we have introduced new technologies, including print-on-demand printing, computer-to-plate pre-press, and digital publishing.
