REGISTRATION IS CLOSED

Media accreditation is strictly reserved for members of the press - print, photo, radio, TV, film, news agencies, and online media who represent a bona fide media organization. Full guidelines available here.

Multiple Accreditation are NOT permitted under any circumstances and strictly enforced. No one is allowed to hold more than one form of accreditation at a given time (e.g. as Press + Delegate; Press + NGO)

Requesting Media Accreditation for RIO+20:

After having provided the necessary requirements (provided before the deadline of Monday, 14 May 2012) Upon approval, a confirmation of your accreditation will be sent to the email as registered in the online application form.This approval letter will serve as proof of accreditation when requesting hotels rooms (see below) as well as to request transportation facilities from the airport to the hotel.

COLLECTION OF ID CARD:

UN media passes will be made available at:
Gate I on or after 7 June 2012 at the convention centre (see Location )

Please note*: Correspondents accredited to Rio+20, may also register for the Corporate Sustainability Forum, organized by the United Nations Global Compact, in Rio de Janeiro,
15-18 June 2012.

ACCOMMODATIONS:

The United Nations is NOT responsible for hotel accommodations for media representatives.

The Brazilian National Organizing Committee, however, has reserved a slot of hotel rooms for accredited media. All fees are the responsibility of the media organization.

Media representatives must present their approval letter as well as provide a copy to rio20.hoteis@itamaraty.gov.br when arranging their accommodations.

The Government of Brazil is providing transportation for media representatives from the airport to the hotel and from the hotels to the Conference Center, upon presentation of your UN issued media pass or your letter of approved accreditation.
