Each journalist seeking to renew his/her accreditation must provide the three required items listed below:
A new letter requesting the renewal of the accreditation of the person(s) on official letterhead of the media organization signed by the Publisher, Editor-in-Chief, Assignment Editor or company official. Please address the letter to the Media Accreditation Unit and send it either via fax (212-963-4642) or via email, once signed and scanned (PDF format), to email@example.com.
Samples of their coverage of the United Nations from the last 6 months. These samples should be provided when the letter is submitted and sent either by fax (212-963-4642) or emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org (with links or attached files limited to a maximum of 6 megabytes).
Correspondents or green P holders are required to provide a minimum of:
- Print & Online/Internet-based media - three (3) by-lined or credited articles on the UN
Radio / TV - three (3) broadcast reports on the UN
Photographers - three (3) published & credited photographic clippings / tearsheets about the UN.
UN Resident Correspondents or white P holders are required to provide a minimum of
- Print & Online/Internet-based media -eight (8) by-lined or credited articles on the UN
Radio / TV - eight (8) broadcast reports on the UN
Photographers - eight (8) published & credited photographic clippings / tearsheets about the UN.
Media support staff, such as cameramen, soundmen, information technology engineers, producers, associate producers, associate reporters and technicians can submit the work of the reporter to which they contributed their services to support their accreditation request.
3. UPDATE ONLINE ACCOUNT AND PROFILE1
a) Update your existing registered information by editing your profile to keep the personal & professional information current and
b) Submitting the Request for Renewal of the online profile form, certifying the information has been reviewed and is up-to-date.
