USG Beagle

Jan BeagleMs. Jan Beagle of New Zealand has been appointed by United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres as the next Under-Secretary-General for Management. She will succeed Yukio Takasu of Japan.

Ms. Beagle will bring to the position more than 35 years of experience in the political, development and inter-agency work of the United Nations Organization, coupled with extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in the management of human resources, finance, budget, information technology, administrative services and operations. She has made important contributions in leading and advancing change management initiatives in the Secretariat and at the level of the United Nations system.

BettinaMS. BETTINA TUCCI BARTSIOTAS
ACTING, UNDER-SECRETARY-GENERAL

Ms. Bettina Tucci Bartsiotas was appointed Assistant Secretary-General, Controller of the United Nations in February 2015 and has been serving as Acting Under-Secretary-General for Management since 16 May 2017. Born in Uruguay, and a dual national from Uruguay and the United States, Ms. Bartsiotas holds an MBA in finance and investments from George Washington University and a BA in economics and business administration from the American University in Washington, D.C.
