Ms. Deborah E. Lipstadt
Dorot Professor of Modern Jewish History and Holocaust Studies at Emory University, Deborah Lipstadt wrote The Eichmann Trial in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the trial. She served as a consultant to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, for which she helped design the exhibit section on America and the Holocaust. The professor has provided her expertise to the administrations of former U.S. Presidents William J. Clinton and George W. Bush and U.S. President Obama. Her 2006 book, History on Trial: My Day in Court with a Holocaust Denier, is the story of her libel defense trial in London against David Irving, who sued her for calling him a Holocaust denier. The Judge found Irving to be a Holocaust denier whose writings demonstrate anti-Semitism and racism.
