General Assembly President Meets Swiss State SecretaryPresident Ashe meets with H. E. Mr. Martin Dahinden, State Secretary and Director of the Swiss Development Cooperation Agency

The President of the General Assembly met today with H.E. Mr. Martin Dahinden, State Secretary and Director of the Swiss Development Cooperation Agency. The Secretary underscored the important role the PGA will play in the process to advance the Post-2015 Development Agenda.

The PGA reemphasized his call for three High-level events and three thematic debates, which he plans to convene in the fall and coming year; and he reiterated his intention to feed the inputs from these events and debates into processes of the Sustainable Development Working Group and the Intergovernmental Committee of Experts on Financing Sustainable Development.

The Secretary offered Switzerland’s support to the PGA and his country's keen interest in playing an active role at the sixty-eighth session.
