President Ashe meets with H. E. Mr. Milo Djukanovic, Prime Minister of Montenegro
The President of the General Assembly met today with H.E. Mr. Milo Djukanovic, Prime Minister of Montenegro. The President discussed Montenegro’s contributions in the area of development, human rights and peace. He noted that Montenegro is committed to promoting sustainable development and had begun to mainstream these issues into his country's national plan including the launch of a Sustainable Development Centre.
The President also pointed out that Montenegro has contributed troops to several UN peacekeeping missions. The PGA congratulated Montenegro on its achievements and contributions to the United Nations given that it is one of the smaller states in Europe. The PGA also acknowledged the diligent efforts of Montenegro’s Permanent Representative, H.E. Mr. Milorad Scepanovic, and expressed his hope that Montenegro will work with the PGA’s Office in the execution of the full agenda for the sixty-eighth session.
The President offered his full support to the PGA.
