Readout of the President of the General Assembly’s meeting with H. E. Ms. Maia Panjikidze, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Georgia

The President of the General Assembly, H.E. Mr. John W. Ashe, met today with H.E. Ms. Maia Panjikidze, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Georgia. They had a cordial exchange in which Minister Panjikidze expressed her delegation’s intent to introduce an initiative to the General Assembly.
President Ashe welcomed Georgia’s active participation in the work of the sixty-eighth session and looked forward to its cooperation as the General Assembly commences the intergovernmental process to set the stage for the post 2015 development agenda.
