Assembly President Meets President of Costa RicaThe President of the General Assembly, H.E. Mr. John W. Ashe, met today with H.E. Mrs. Laura Chinchilla Miranda, President of Costa Rica. President Chinchilla, in her capacity as Host of the BYND 2015 Global Youth Summit on Information and Communication Technologies and Sustainable Development, (9-11 September 2013), presented the Outcome of the Summit to President Ashe. She commended the important role of the youth in the elaboration of the post-2015 development agenda.

The President of the General Assembly expressed his gratitude to President Chinchilla and encouraged Costa Rica to actively participate in the sixty-eighth session, having regard to the positive contribution her delegation has already made in advancing the multilateral agenda on disarmament, and sustainable development, amongst other areas.
