President Ashe meets with H.E. Ms. Sheikh Hasina, Prime Minister of Bangladesh.
The President of the General Assembly met today with H.E. Ms. Sheikh Hasina, Prime Minister of Bangladesh. The Prime Minister congratulated the PGA on his opening statement.
The PGA encouraged Bangladesh to participate actively in the elaboration of the post-2015 development agenda, drawing on the country's experience and expertise. The Prime Minister assured the PGA that Bangladesh will be actively engaged in all the relevant processes.
Prime Minister Hasina underscored that her country will take up three key initiatives during the sixty-eighth session including People's Empowerment, the Culture of Peace, and the Recognition of an International Mother Language Day on 21 February.
The PGA welcomed Bangladesh's support for these important initiatives.
