Mr. Juliano Maia
Mr. Juliano Maia joined the foreign service of Brazil in 2004. In Brasilia, he worked at the Department of Parliamentary Affairs of the Ministry of External Relations (2005-2007) and at the Office of the Minister of External Relations (2007-2010). In 2010, he joined the Permanent Mission of Brazil to the United Nations, where he dealt with West African issues in the Security Council. He also served in the Peacebuilding Commission and worked on Security Council Reform, causes of conflict and promotion of durable peace and sustainable development in Africa. Mr. Maia graduated in Social Sciences at the University of Sao Paulo and in Law at the Catholic University of Sao Paulo and holds a Master Degree in Diplomacy from the Rio Branco Institute. Mr. Maia is a national of Brazil.
