President of the General Assembly meets with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Brunei Darussalam
The President of the General Assembly Mr. Vuk Jeremić met today with H.E. Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Brunei Darussalam.
The President presented his priorities for the 67th Session, as well as the main theme of the presidency “Bringing about adjustment or settlement of international disputes or situations by peaceful means.”
They exchanged views on the President’s initiative to introduce a consultative mechanism between the General Assembly and the Group of 20 (G-20) and to organize a high-level debate for that purpose.
The President looks forward to working closely with Brunei Darussalam as the next Chair of ASEAN in 2013.
