President of the General Assembly meets with the President of Guyana (27 September)
The President of the General Assembly Mr. Vuk Jeremić met today with H.E. Mr. Donald Rabindranauth Ramotar, President of Guyana.
The President of the General Assembly presented his priorities for the 67th Session. They exchanged views on the mechanism to enhance the dialogue between the General Assembly and the Group of 20 (G-20).
They discussed the economic situation in the CARICOM region.
The President stressed the importance of Guyana’s chairmanship in the Economic and Financial Committee (Second Committee) of the General Assembly. They agreed upon the need to respect international law and resolve disputes peacefully.
