President of the General Assembly meets with the President of the Global Network of Cities and Local Governments
The President of the General Assembly Mr. Vuk Jeremić met today with Mr. Mr. Kadir Topbas, the President of the Global Network of Cities and Local Governments.
They exchanged views on the progress in achieving the Millennium Development Goals, the follow-up to Rio+20, climate change, as well as other environmental and humanitarian issues. They agreed on the important role the local governments play in promoting universal values.
The President noted that he looks forward to cooperating with the Global Network of Cities and Local Governments during his presidency.
