President of the General Assembly meets with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Barbados
The President of the General Assembly Mr. Vuk Jeremić met today with H.E. Ms. Maxine McClean, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Barbados.
They discussed the President’s initiative to set up a consultative mechanism between the General Assembly and the Group of 20 (G-20).
They discussed the follow-up to Rio+20, and issues of climate change, as well as its implications on the Caribbean region. They also discussed drug trafficking and non-communicable diseases.
The President looks forward to cooperating with Barbados and other CARICOM Member States.
