President Jeremić meets with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea
The President of the General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Vuk Jeremić, met with H.E. Mr. KIM Sung-hwan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea.
They discussed the political and security implications of the recent nuclear testing conducted by the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.
President Jeremić thanked Minister Kim for his country’s strong commitment to the work of the General Assembly. As a Non-Permanent Member of the Security Council, the Minister discussed the Republic of Korea’s stance on various global security issues with the President. The President and the Minister discussed a number of important regional issues, focusing mainly on the issues related to the Korean Peninsula. They concluded by discussing the interests of the Republic of Korea within the UN General Assembly. President Jeremić invited Minister Kim to attend upcoming thematic debates which will hold special interest to the Republic of Korea.
