To His Excellency Mr. Vuk Jeremić, I would like to extend my sincere congratulations for your election to the Presidency of the United Nations General Assembly.
Mr. Jeremić brings to this position his extensive experience in multilateralism and international affairs.
I have no doubt that you will lead the Member States of this pre-eminent world body, in a truly able and dedicated manner.
I wish you all the best in taking up this office.
I wish to reiterate at this point that I will be available and more than willing to offer you and your team my full support, especially as you prepare to assume the Presidency on the 18th of September.
For me and my team, much work remains to be done in the remaining 3 months of the 66th session.
We are determined to leave behind us a stronger General Assembly that the people of the world can look up to and depend on.
I am confident that our common efforts will be continued and built upon under Mr. Jeremić’s stewardship.
