President of the General Assembly meets with President of Albania
The President of the General Assembly, H.E. Nassir Abdulaziz Al-Nasser, met today with the President of the Republic of Albania, H.E. Mr. Bamir Topi.
They exchanged views on a number of issues, including the situation in the Balkans and the positive role that Albania has been playing towards regional peace and stability, as well as the European Union integration process.
President Al-Nasser thanked President Topi for his participation in the High-Level Thematic Debate on the State of the World Economy.
The President of the General Assembly highlighted his choice of Mediation and the peaceful settlement of disputes as one of the key themes of this session of the General Assembly.
Meets with the President of Panama
Still on the margins of the High-Level Thematic Debate on the State of the World Economy, President Al-Nasser held talks with the President of Panama, H.E. Mr. Ricardo Martinelli.
President Al-Nasser commended Panama’s support for the work of the United Nations General Assembly.
They exchanged views on the State of the World Economy and efforts being made by the General Assembly and the United Nations as a whole to help find economic and financial solutions for a robust, sustained and inclusive global recovery.
