President of the General Assembly meets with
Japan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs in Tokyo
The President of the General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Nassir Abdulaziz Al-Nasser today held talks with H.E. Mr. Koichiro Gemba, Japan’s Minister of Foreign Minister in Tokyo. President Al-Nasser outlined the four key areas which he had identified as the focus points of this 66th session of the General Assembly.
They President of the General Assembly and the Japanese Foreign Minister exchanged views on a number of issues namely, disaster prevention and responses, mediation, nuclear disarmament and safety, General Assembly revitalization and Security Council reform.
During the meeting, which continued over a working dinner hosted by the Foreign Minister, they discussed regional issues, including the situation in the Middle East and the Arab world, the Palestinian Question and the denuclearisation of the Korean Peninsula.
