On the death of the Prime Minister of Barbados
The President of the General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Joseph Deiss, has learned with deep sadness about the death of the Honourable David Thompson, Prime Minister of Barbados.
This is a great loss for Barbados. Prime Minister Thompson was a remarkable man of peace who leaves a memorable impact on his country, the Caribbean and the wider family of nations.
On behalf of all Member States and on his own behalf, the President of the General Assembly expresses his heartfelt condolences to Prime Minister Thompson’s bereaved family and to the people and Government of Barbados.
