On 21 September 2018, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., the Secretary-General will celebrate the Day in the Peace Garden at United Nations Headquarters by ringing the Peace Bell and observing a minute of silence. United Nations Messengers of Peace will participate in the ceremony.
Please note that due to the special tribute event that will be held to honour former Secretary-General Kofi Annan in the General Assembly Hall on the International Day of Peace, 21 September, the student conference will not take place on this day. We hope that Mr. Annan's legacy will further inspire you to help create a more peaceful and just world. A live webcast of the tribute will be broadcast that morning at webtv.un.org.
