Cooperation with intergovernmental organizations
In the course of 2014, the Committee will continue to cooperate on issues relevant to its mandate with the African Union, the European Union, the Non-Aligned Movement, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the League of Arab States. The Committee will also reach out to the regional groups at the United Nations, in particular the Group of Latin American and Caribbean Countries, and other regional organizations, such as the Caribbean Community. Representatives of these groups and organizations will be invited to lend their support to and participate in the Committee's programme of international meetings and conferences. The Committee will reach out to these organizations with a view to organizing joint events within the framework of the International Year.
