By the Office of Human Resources Management's Learning, Leadership and Organizational Development Section

Books in various languages, donated by UN staff, will be sold to contribute to literacy projects sponsored by the UN Staff 1% for Development Fund. UN staff and delegates are invited to donate books at the UN Learning Center by 20 Feb. 3 p.m.

21 February (5-7.30 p.m.) - Observance of International Mother Language Day

By the Permanent Mission of Bangladesh. Remarks to be delivered by senior officials, followed by cultural performances

Practise a language, try tasty dishes, and learn more about fairy tales from various countries

Screening of "Mother Tongue : Revisiting the Inca Language", with remarks by UNOG Director-General and Permanent Representatives of Bangladesh and Peru

Dancing, performing arts, and tasting of traditional delicacies from different nations, with remarks by Permanent Representative of Bangladesh and other senior officials
