General Assembly commemorative plenary meeting on Human Rights Day 2008
On this year’s Human Rights Day, the General Assembly will hold a plenary meeting comprised of two consecutive interactive panel discussions. It will also include the award ceremony of the UN Prize in the Field of Human Rights.
A brief declaration will be adopted by consensus (following the open informal consultations held on 4-5 December with Members States and the co-facilitators).
The Prize recipients will hold a press conference at 5 p.m. in Room S-226.
