The United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) Special Event will take place on 28 February 2011, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m., in the General Assembly Hall at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City.
Registration and issuance of identification badges
Due to strict security measures, we encourage all participants to arrive at least one hour before the start of the Plenary – scheduled at 3.00 p.m. Non-UN pass holders will be requested to go through the security “tent” at the UN visitors’ entrance, located on First Avenue off 46th Street, and present a valid photo ID. You will be required to check in suitcases and large carry-all bags. We apologize for this inconvenience but please allow enough time to go through this process.
All participants must register in advance with the ECOSOC secretariat and pick up their badges in the lobby of the visitors’ entrance of the General Assembly (GA) Building once they passed UN security. Registration tables will be located in the GA Lobby.
Only written registrations received on or before 23 February 2011 will be taken into account for the issuance of an entry badge. Badges have to be worn at all times while in the United Nations premises.
Please note that participation at this Special Event is by invitation only. These invitations are not transferable without the permission of the organizers of the meeting.
