ECOSOC General Segment 2005

The aim of the General Segment was to strengthen coherence in the United Nations through the Council's review of the reports of its subsidiary bodies. The general segment provided a forum for official meetings and general debates involving the subsidiary bodies of ECOSOC. Some of the resolutions contained in the reports of ECOSOC subsidiary bodies required action and deliberations. The general segment took place from 18 to 27 July.
