|Description:||In response to Economic and Social Council resolution 2005/32, in which the|
Council extended the mandate of the Ad Hoc Advisory Group on Guinea-Bissau, the
present report provides an overview of current developments in the country,
including of the overall economic and social situation. It also highlights the work of
the Ad Hoc Advisory Group since its last report (E/2005/70), describes the current
status of international donor support for the country and provides medium to longterm
perspective on the situation in the country from the point of view of the Group.
It makes some general conclusions and recommendations, including that Guinea-
Bissau should continue to receive the sustained attention from the international
community, including by the Peacebuilding Commission.
