International Migrant Flows To and From Selected Countries: The 2008 Revision, contains annual data on the inflow, and where available on the outflow and the net flow, of international migrants by detailed country of origin (destination) for 29 countries, based on national data sources. The data series generally cover the period 1980 to 2008. For some countries, the start date or end date of the data series is different, depending on their availability. International migration flow data are reported for Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Iceland, Israel, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom and the United States of America. These 29 key migrant receiving countries are among the few in the world with fairly complete sets of data on international migration flows. Each file contained in the CD-ROM has a complete set of data available for a given country. All files are presented in Excel format. For each country a single file is available containing data on migrant inflows, outflows (if available) and net migration (if both series are available) by development group, major area, region as well as by single country of origin or destination. The CD-ROM also includes a documentation file.
