Ecole Polytechnique de Tunisie
Tunis, 21–24 January 2008
The second training workshop was organized on 21-24 January, 2008, by UN-DESA/DPAD and UNDP/RBAS, in close collaboration with the World Bank and the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa. The workshop was hosted by the Laboratoire d'Economie et de Gestion Industrielle (LEGI) de l'Ecole Polytechnique de Tunisie.
The main objectives of this workshop were to:
- provide country teams with more training in the project's methodology;
- present country narratives on the state of the MDGs in the participating countries;
- run a macro version of the modeling framework and identify data and other needs for running a more micro, sector-detailed version of it and tailoring it to country-specific conditions;
- familiarize participants with the intended outcomes of the project and their potential uses, in terms of country-study results, policymaking, and sustainability of capacity-building.
