LDC data retrieval
The CDP uses a set of three criteria to identify countries as least developed and reviews the list of LDCs every three years.
Data used in the last triennial reviews of the LDC category can be retrieved here. Two retrieval options are available:
- Download data in Excel format for LDCs and other developing countries for each triennial review: 2006, 2009, 2012 and 2015.
- The StatPlanet Graphical Interface shows data from 2006 - 2015.
Complementary time series calculations for HAI and EVI from other organisations
The Fondation pour les Études et Recherches sur les Développement International (FERDI) has developed their own time series on the human asset index (HAI) and the economic vulnerability index (EVI) and periodically updates these historical time series.
Important disclaimer: Please note the FERDI data is meant for analytical purposes only. Due to differences in methodologies, data sources and data revisions, the FERDI historical time series may differ from the data used by the CDP and its Secretariat in the triennial reviews of the list of the LDCs.
Time series data for the gross national income (GNI) per capita indicator is available from the World Bank Open Data page: GNI per capita
