Regional training workshop

The Macroeconomic Advisory Capacity (MAC) Initiative of DPAD, in partnership with the Bangladesh Bank (central bank) and UN-ESCAP, organized a regional training workshop, "Beyond Inflation Targeting: Policy Options and Instruments for Managing Equitable Growth and Human Development" in Dhaka on 19-22 December 2011. A total of 37 officials from central banks and ministries of finance of 16 countries in Asia and the Pacific (Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Nepal, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan, Thailand and Vietnam) along with officials of UN-ESCAP, UNDP and UN-DESA participated in the workshop.
