Capacity Development and Advisory Services
Egypt
DPAD implemented capacity development and advisory activities in Egypt from 2007-2011. The main objectives of these activities were to increase the level of human development and ensure that meeting development goals is sustainable beyond 2015. Activities focused on developing the capacity of policymakers to undertake quantitative analyses of financing constrains in order to achieve the MDGs, and macroeconomic trade-offs of scaling-up public spending.
Capacity development in Egypt was implemented with support from the Ministry of Economic Development. The Regional Bureau for Arab States (RBAS) has also been a key partner in funding and logistical support. The World Bank provided technical assistance during the implementation of capacity development projects.
