National Reports

Broad-based national level consultations on the implementation of the Programme of Action for the Least Developed Countries for the Decade 2001-2010 were launched successfully in 2009 with the support of UN Resident Coordinators and the Regional Commissions, involving a broad spectrum of stakeholders, including governments, parliamentarians, civil society and private sector.

Based on specific guidelines  prepared by the Office of the High Representative for Least Developed Countries, Landlocked Developing Countries and Small Island Developing States (OHRLLS), consultations culminated in the result-oriented analytical and forward-looking reports.

As of 23 November 2010, the OHRLLS has received 33 national reports from  Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Benin, Bhutan, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cambodia, Comoros, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Gambia, Guinea-Bissau, Kiribati, Lao People's Democratic Republic, Lesotho, Mali, Mauritania, Mozambique, Nepal, Niger, Samoa, Sao Tome and Principe, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Solomon Islands, Sudan, Togo, Tuvalu, Uganda, United Republic of Tanzania, Yemen and Zambia.
