The New Partnership for Africa's Development (NEPAD), newly reprinted and issued by the Africa Section of the Department of Public Information, provides the full text of the African Union's seminal document on the continent's plan for economic, social and political progress. This collaborative project of the UN and African Union seeks to make more readily available in Africa and around the world the original NEPAD programme adopted by African leaders in 2001 and endorsed by the UN General Assembly in 2002.
