2010 AMR PREPARATIONS
The annual Review during the Council's July session is the culmination of a process which includes preparations and follow-up at the national, regional and global levels. Sound preparations and the strong engagement of Member States, the UN system, other major institutional stakeholders, as well as non-governmental organizations and the private sector have proven to be a key factor for the success of the AMR. Several AMR preparatory events are held with a wide range of stakeholders to stimulate dialogue and engagement around the Review. In past years, these have included national and regional consultations, global preparatory events, e-discussions, and a report of the Secretary-General.
