to safeguarding the environmental, social and cultural functions of the
resource.

The Cloud Forest Agenda has been funded by the members of the Mountain
Cloud Forest Initiative, comprising the United Nations Environment Programme
(UNEP), the UNEP World Conservation Monitoring Centre, the United Nations
Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Man and the
Biosphere (MAB) Programme and International Hydrological Programme (IHP),
and the Commission on Ecosystem Management of IUCN–The World Conservation
Union.
