Climate Change: How It Impacts US All
The Midday Workshops are an integral part of the
60th Annual DPI/NGO Conference, Climate Change: How It Impacts
Us All. The workshops take place from 1:15 PM – 2:30 PM each
day and welcome broad audience participation.
These workshops underscore the theme of the conference, enhance
the content of roundtable topics, raise supplementary issues,
share solutions and best practices, and foster partnerships across
all sectors of civil society. The topics covered in these Midday
Workshops include the scientific evidence, cultural and traditional
knowledge, water security and climate change, best land use practices,
economics and policies of energy and climate change, streamlining
the system, sustainable development and the responsibility to
protect, and health and education.
Over thirty student intern rapporteurs from colleges
and universities in the greater New York/New Jersey area will
summarise the workshop proceedings for the final conference report.
These students have formed a poster
presentation sub-committee.
