  The General Assembly,
 
  Acting in accordance with the recommendation contained in Security Council
resolution 720 (1991) of 21 November 1991,
 
  Appoints Mr. Boutros Boutros-Ghali Secretary-General of the United Nations
for a term of office beginning on 1 January 1992 and ending on 31 December
1996.
