               51/434.  Consequences of the Iraqi occupation of and
                        aggression against Kuwait


     At its 85th plenary meeting, on 16 December 1996, the General Assembly
decided to defer consideration of the item entitled "Consequences of the Iraqi
occupation of and aggression against Kuwait" and to include it in the
provisional agenda of its fifty-second session.
